The History of HTAC
A Brief History of HTAC
1974
In 1974, Bill Berryhill and Robert Higgens of E-52 established HTAC with the goal of putting on musical theater performances. The first performance put on by HTAC was The Marriage Proposal. Named after the Harrington A Dorm Complex, the company was encouraged to continue producing productions, which lead to a surge in HTAC’s productions.
1983
HTAC’s Board consisted of the Meetings Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, Technical Coordinator, Publicity Coordinator, and Treasurer.
1996
HTAC’s performance of Guys & Dolls was the last performance done in Wolf Hall, which led to HTAC and E-52 using Pearson Hall as a space to perform.
2002
By Fall 2002, the board had undergone significant change. The lineup at the time consisted of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Alumni/Historian Coordinator, Publicity Coordinator, Technical Coordinator, and Social Coordinator.
